How do I view a map of a specific property?

Click on the "Find" button and enter the address or parcel number in the form that is displayed.  After clicking on the "Go" button, the map will zoom to the address and display parcel lines and an aerial view of the property.

If you know the general location of your property by looking at the map, you can simply drag a rectangle around or click on the that location to zoom in.  If you zoom in too far, then click on the "Zoom Out" button and click on the map.  If you want to recenter the map without zooming in or out, then click on the "Pan" button and drag the map in the desired direction.

FAQ's

Why are some of the checkboxes in the list of features grayed out?

The checkboxes are disabled because these features cannot be displayed on the map until you zoom in further.

Why am I seeing a map of the entire peninsula?

The initial map is of the entire peninsula in order to provide a more general location in reference to major water bodies, major roads, and surrounding cities/counties.  The detailed data that we provide only covers the City of Newport News.
